How we work

Chronos Publishing operates both a traditional publishing model and a partnership publishing model, depending on the project and circumstances.

Our traditional publishing deals are highly selective. They are typically offered to authors represented by recognised literary agents, or to authors who can clearly demonstrate an established platform, strong marketing presence, and an existing audience for their work. We look for authors who have already positioned themselves as credible voices within their field and who understand their readership. In exceptional circumstances, we may consider direct submissions that meet these criteria and align closely with our publishing vision.

Traditional publishing represents a significant investment on our part, and as such, we expect authors to play an active role in the success of their book. That said, all Chronos authors are expected to support the marketing of their work and to engage with their audience. Publishing is a collaborative process, and the most successful books are driven by authors who are committed to their long-term visibility and growth.

For authors who do not yet have agent representation or an established platform, we offer a partnership publishing model. This provides access to our full professional publishing expertise, including editorial, design, production, and global distribution, while allowing authors to retain full creative involvement and ownership of their work. This route is particularly appropriate for autobiographies, specialist projects, and novels with a clearly defined audience.

Regardless of the publishing route, we work closely with our authors throughout the process. We believe authors should feel informed, respected, and confident at every stage. Our authors retain ownership of their copyright, and we offer transparent, competitive royalty structures.
