Joseph Ball
Joseph Ball is a writer and author of the Growing Pains series of books. A retail worker by day, and book lover by night, Joseph has spent the last decade living in the Dorset countryside with his family, reading novels and planning his own set of books.
Taking inspiration from his surroundings while growing up in the South East of England in the early 2000s, he has built a world that pays homage to the positive influences in his life, while ridiculing and exposing the stereotypes and bullies he has witnessed along the way.
The Growing Pains books were created to raise awareness of child abuse and to highlight what it feels like to be abused in a more subtle way. They show the ease with which people turn a blind eye when a child has no bruises or voice, and the loneliness that can come from such a life.
With a portion of the book’s profits being donated to charity, Joseph writes in the hope that at least one child will be helped by the books, either through a donation or by raising awareness through its content.
